Dear Mr. Carnahan

Today I wrote a letter to my U.S. Representative, Russ Carnahan.  Mr. Carnahan is a co-sponsor of the Freedom of Choice Act (FOCA).  The new President has promised to sign this bill as soon as it crosses his desk.  The bill will invalidate numerous state and federal laws that have placed common sense regulations on the million dollar abortion industry.  Short of a filibuster by pro-life senators, the bill has a very good chance of passing.  I will be sending this letter by U.S. mail.  My understanding is that it will have a better chance of being read.

January 23, 2009

Honorable Russ Carnahan
U.S. House of Representatives
Washington, D.C.  20515

Dear Mr. Carnahan:

I was disappointed to learn that you are a co-sponsor of the House version of the Freedom of Choice Act (FOCA). My understanding is that this act, if passed and signed by the President will, among other things, invalidate the Hyde Amendment, remove the requirement that women be afforded the opportunity to make an informed decision, invalidate laws that require parental notification and laws that require that abortionists be licensed physicians, remove laws preventing sex selection abortions, and invalidate conscience rights of doctors, nurses, and hospitals. Additionally it will require taxpayers to fund the genocide. These regulations, which have been passed by numerous states including the state of Missouri, are common sense measures supported by majorities in those states. The passage of the FOCA is a naked power play by the Federal Government against the many states and appears to be a quid pro quo for the political support of the abortion industry.

The brutality of abortion is beyond comprehension. Tearing apart a living human limb from limb or burning her alive in saline solution causes unspeakable pain. Nothing short of crucifixion compares. How can you continue to support the willful termination of the lives of millions of innocent people? I urge you to consider that the life of an unborn girl trumps the right of her mother and doctor to kill her.

Please abort your support of FOCA and come over to the side of life. Millions of children will be grateful to you for your decision.

Sincerely,
